In cartridge regeneration process sometimes you need to replace a sponge that is inside a cartridge.
While replacing the sponge first remove the hood from the cartridge.
Inappropriate removal of the hood (e.g.with a knife) may result in scratches and damages. A specially designed cartridge opener enables you to detach hood from the rest of the cartridge easily.
